How to Volunteer

To volunteer your services and share your knowledge and expertise, please fill out a volunteer application and send it to the state park, forest, or trail of your choice. You may apply to more than one property, but a separate application is needed for each one.

Property staff interview and select all volunteers. Selected volunteers will be asked to sign an agreement outlining their responsibilities as well as those of the Department of Natural Resources.

Leave a Legacy
Give a Gift to Last a Lifetime

A fund has been set up at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region in Appleton to help us:

  • Pay down our loan for the recent purchase of 40 acres of land added to the park that will be preserved as green space for perpetuity. The FOHC portion of the loan is $300,000. We are almost there.
  • Establish an endowment fund to sustain our efforts in providing a year-round naturalist
  • Begin restoration of the 1856 General Store that serves as a historical museum and nature center. This project is estimated to cost about $250,000+. Our 2008 campaign is underway for this fund.

Donations are accepted by mail. Contact any Friends of High Cliff State Park member, park superintendent or the park naturalist.
